I have fused the form of a birch tree onto my background and have quilted it on. Now I have added a fabric I think works well for moss. I loosened my top thread so it would be loose and textural like moss. I am playing with it right now. Not sure how much I will cover the fabric yet, maybe a little as shown or a lot. Raw-edged fused applique, machine quilted, enhanced with tulle.

Textile Artists of Greater Yellowstone

Thursday, April 9, 2015. Ten members and one guest were present for the April 6th meeting. Jeanne encouraged everyone to visit our quilt exhibit at the Plaza Diane gallery in Powell. It will remain up until April 22, when we must take it down and send the Old Trail Town and Tactile challenges to the Denver National Quilt Show. Our Mini-Me challenge was due this month.

The first one came from Ellen from Singapure to Germany. The second one rode from Germany to Elithabeth in England. This ATC I made for Linda. This card is made by Annet.

The Textile Art Post

Fluid textured art using mixed media. Monday, 16 March 2015. I love deconstructed clothing, working with the model and applying fabrics in a free flowing way. I made this garment some years ago from scraps of old jeans. I brought it out to show for an arts trail last year, and the reaction I got and then subsequent commission work really encouraged me to take this method of working a little further. Stranded 2002 Diploma of Arts Graduates

Friday, December 13, 2002. How does everyone feel? The culmination of 3 years study. What a wonderful exhibition we held, we went through 380 catalogues and 1500 invitations, WOW. I know I will miss Fridays at Box Hill with you all, my sanity is shattered! Congratulations to all of us! A job well done and successfully too.
